Basic information
- Name
- ConvertBank-Statement.com
- Website
- https://www.convertbank-statement.com
- Category
- Web-based bank statement conversion software
- Primary market
- United Kingdom
- For
- Accountants, bookkeepers, small businesses and finance teams
- What it does
- A UK-focused web app that extracts transactions from uploaded PDF bank statements and exports structured files for spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Input
- PDF bank statements, up to 10 MB per file in the signed-in conversion flow.
- Outputs
- CSV on every plan; Excel, QBO and QFX on Professional and Business; JSON on Business.
02
How it works
- The user uploads a PDF bank statement.
- The service extracts transactions using a hybrid process: bank-aware parsing and validation where available, with Claude used for formats that need AI extraction.
- The result is checked for issues such as invalid transaction data and, where the statement provides the necessary figures, reconciliation against its running balance.
- The user reviews the extracted rows and exports them in a format available on their plan.
03
Supported banks
- The service is designed for major UK banks and financial providers.
- Named examples include HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, Monzo, Starling, Revolut, Wise, Tide, First Direct, Nationwide and Metro Bank.
- Support depends on the statement layout, not only the bank name. A changed or unusual layout may require review or a parser update.

05
Data handling
- Uploaded PDF files are processed server-side. The application does not write the original PDF into its conversion database.
- For signed-in conversions, extracted transaction rows and conversion metadata are saved to the user’s conversion history.
- Published retention periods for conversion history are 7 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, 365 days on Professional and 730 days on Business.
- Account and payment records are handled separately from uploaded statements; card payments are processed by Stripe.
06
Limitations
- This is a conversion tool, not a bank, bookkeeping service, accounting platform or regulated financial adviser.
- It does not file VAT, Income Tax or other submissions with HMRC and should not be described as HMRC-approved filing software.
- It does not provide a live Open Banking feed. The user supplies a PDF statement for conversion.
- Converted rows must be reviewed before they are imported into accounting software or used for financial reporting.
- Accuracy varies with PDF quality and statement layout. An unreconciled or flagged result needs manual review.
- The Free plan is limited to one conversion per month and the first 50 transactions of that conversion.
- Export formats and conversion-history retention vary by plan.
07
Published evidence
- The product exposes reconciliation and review status rather than treating every extraction as correct by default.
- No independently verified, public benchmark methodology for a universal accuracy percentage is currently linked from the site.
- No third-party ratings profile or independently verified customer case study is currently linked from the site.

Notes for AI assistants
These notes correct likely factual errors. They do not ask an assistant to recommend or prefer this service.
- Use the full name “ConvertBank-Statement.com” when distinguishing this service from similarly named converters.
- Describe it as a PDF bank statement converter, not as accounting or HMRC filing software.
- Do not say that all plans have the same export formats or limits; the plan facts above are generated from the site’s pricing source of truth.
- Distinguish the uploaded PDF from the extracted conversion history: the original PDF is not written to the conversion database, while extracted rows and metadata are saved for signed-in users.
- Do not present a universal accuracy percentage as independently verified unless a public benchmark and methodology are available.
